Sri Madhurakavi Alvar

Between 6th and 8th century, there was a great Sri Vaishnava saint named 'Sri Madhurakavi Alvar' from South India, who only used to chant and remember the pastimes and glories of his spiritual master, 'Sri Nammalvar'. The great saint stated that he relished and derived unlimited nectar more through his devotion to his spiritual master, than towards the Lord himself. The saint emphatically declared that his consciousness was fully devoted towards his spiritual master alone and couldn't even think of anything else for a moment. For Sri Madhurakavi Alvar, the lotus feet of his spiritual master was the only worshipable deity. Madhurakavi-alwar, who was Nammalwar's only disciple, became a missionary and started spreading the message of his spiritual master. He popularized the hymns composed by Nammalwar and constructed temples and shrines for the Lord and his spiritual master.

Similarly, it is a well known fact that devotees relish and experience the true flavour of devotional nectar when they read books related to Srila Prabhupada. Unlimited nectar and spiritual clarity is gained when we hear and read the pastimes of Srila Prabhupada. If one is fully conscious of Srila Prabhupada and his wonderful disciples, the way back to godhead is easy and simple. The more one is conscious of Srila Prabhupada, the closer he is to Krishna's attention.
